AT-406 set is designed for indoor use only. Do not install outdoors.  
It must be used in wall-mounted applications only.  
Slide down front battery cover. Place four SUM-3 (AA)  
batteries into compartment. Observe polarity.

Wiring  
AT-406 can be wired with 2 non-polarized wires. When add-on sub(s)  
installed, connect in loop or home run. Keep audio wires 20”  
away from any AC wiring, fluorescent lights, dimmer switches, etc.

Any particular station can be signalled by bell or light, while it rings.  
Install TAR-3 relay powered by its own 6V DC power supply (SKK-620

MOUNTING

Mount the intercom on bracket, aligning at the marks. Pull down on  
bracket, until it properly locks. Terminal section is on the back side.  
Do not disassemble the unit. For surface wall cable run, outlet hole is  
provided on the top or bottom of chassis.  
OPERATIONS  
Press CALL button to call other station(s)(max. 3 subs). It rings as long as CALL button is pressed. Communicate on handsets.  
At conclusion, replace handset onto cradle. If not hung up, battery power is consumed.  
External device, connected to a station, is activated as long as call tone rings on handset.  
TECHNICAL PRECAUTIONS  
Do not hold hook switch down while handset is off hook, as the call tone sounds very loud through handset receiver.  
Do not connect AC wires to any terminal on any unit.  
Do not use DC power supply when the batteries are installed.  
Do not install AT-406 in places subjected to temperature/humidity extremes, dust, oil, chemicals, salt, etc.  
Clean AT-406 with a soft cloth dampened with neutral household cleanser. Never use any abrasive cleaner or cloth.

whether there is a defect in materials and/or workmanship; and whether or not the product is within the warranty.  
This warranty shall not apply to any Aiphone product which has been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, or to use in violation of  
instructions furnished, nor extended to units which have been repaired or altered outside of the factory. This warranty does not cover  
batteries or damage caused by batteries used in connection with the product.  
This warranty covers bench repairs only, and any repairs must be made at the shop or place designated in writing by Aiphone.  
Aiphone will not be responsible for any costs incurred involving on site service calls.
